The Automotive Centre of Excellence is proud to announce the VACC as the Premier Partner. Over the next five years, the VACC and the Automotive Centre of Excellence will work together to promote and increase the awareness of career opportunities and training within the automotive sector; and VACC apprenticeships. In turn the Automotive Centre of Excellence via naming rights to the VACC Walk will work to establish the brand connection between the peak automotive body for the industry and the peak automotive training facility and increase community awareness of the VACC brand.
PPG has secured naming rights to the Refinishing Workshop at the Automotive Centre of Excellence. PPG, a global supplier of automotive coatings and services, will work with the Automotive Centre of Excellence to ensure that students have the opportunity of utilising the latest in paint system technologies. The PPG Refinishing Workshop is also housing the most advanced preparation bays and ovens in the world. Over the coming years the Automotive Centre of Excellence will be hosting national and international events including the National Colour Matching competition and showcasing the PPG partnership.
Wurth Australia has committed to a long term partnership with the Automotive Centre of Excellence, supplying the vehicle body making and panel beating training area with latest equipment. Wurth's support will ensure that equipment is continually upgraded guaranteeing that apprentices are trained with the latest in technology and equipment. In turn, Wurth have secured naming rights to the Body Trades Workshop which will now be known as the Wurth Body Trades Workshop.
Repco Australia shares our strong interest in supporting apprenticeships and automotive training at the grass roots level. The company has secured the naming rights to the Training Rooms at the Automotive Centre of Excellence. Their sponsorship will assist the Institute to create opportunities for networking, mentoring students and forging student relationships with large employer groups in the auto industry. It will also assist Repco Australia by bringing the Repco brand closer to a younger and new generation of potential customers and users of automotive parts and components.
3M has announced a new sponsorship deal on February 4 2008 that will join the leading automotive training facility in Australia with one of industry’s most innovative and diverse companies. The two year sponsorship agreement will provide the body, panel and paint students at the Automotive Centre of Excellence with the latest 3M products and technologies.
