You’ll be employed by a Renault dealership that has openly expressed an interest in acquiring an apprentice, meaning you’ll benefit from real world experience – all aspects of maintaining Renault vehicles, such as scheduled servicing requirements and major diagnostic and repairs.
Completed over four years, the apprenticeship combines this real world experience with a diverse range of off-the-job training (three years block release) at the Renault Academy. In effect, you’ll learn new knowledge and skills, apply them in the workplace, and then constantly work to improve upon them. Such knowledge includes electronic fault diagnosis which is now a fundamental part of day to day operations, so you’ll learn how to use the latest Renault diagnostic equipment, such as the Formula 1TM inspired CLIP.
Along the way, you’ll be supported and encouraged to demonstrate initiative and contribute your own ideas to develop the business, with an ultimate focus on achieving Renault’s ongoing commitment to high levels of customer satisfaction. The mix between extensive training and full time employment is a highly effective way for you to earn your formal qualifications, and finish with the relevant skills and knowledge to continue your journey in the dynamic automotive industry.
Renault Australia has developed the program tailored to the Renault brand, platform, and systems. This has been done in conjunction with ACE, the official national training provider. On successful completion of the Renault apprentice program, you will have the following qualifications:
The training will be delivered in eight lots of one-week blocks for the first three years of the program. From time to time, product specific courses will also be delivered by Renault Australia’s technical experts to ensure you’re learning about the latest Renault technology and improvements.
While a large portion of your training will be in the workplace, off-the-job training will be conducted in the recently opened and state-of-the-art Renault Academy, located in Mulgrave, Victoria. Of course, Renault vehicles, training rigs, tools, equipment and materials will all be provided.
